Celebrating Jasmine’s Nomination for the BIBA Young Broker Award
Martin Kemp Insurance Brokers is incredibly proud to celebrate Jasmine’s finalist nomination for the Oliver Rose BIBA Young Broker Award. Jasmine was selected as one of just 12 finalists for the award, highlighting her as one of the most promising young insurance professionals. On Wednesday 8th April, Jasmine attended the finalist event in the City of London, where she and her fellow finalists were presented with their certificates by Graeme Trudgill, CEO of BIBA.
Jasmine’s journey with the business began in 2020, when she joined her father’s business, Martin Kemp Insurance Services, as part of a Chartered Insurance Institute / Skills Edge apprenticeship. From the outset, she has demonstrated a remarkable work ethic, curiosity, and an instinctive understanding of our industry. Jasmine successfully achieved her CERT CII qualification, laying strong technical foundations that she has continued to build upon.
What has truly set Jasmine apart is her natural affinity for insurance broking. In just a few short years, she has progressed from apprentice to becoming an integral leader within the company. Today, Jasmine is jointly running Martin Kemp Insurance Services alongside Martin Kemp, playing a key role in shaping our strategy and leading it confidently into the future.
Jasmine is developing a clear specialism in Cyber Insurance, an increasingly critical area for businesses of all sizes. She has become recognised for her wide understanding of cyber risk, including the evolving threats that cybercrime poses to organisations. More importantly, she is passionate about helping our clients understand these risks and working with them to put practical protections in place, encouraging businesses to become more resilient in an ever-changing digital landscape.
Jasmine’s nomination not only highlights her technical knowledge, but also her professionalism, forward-thinking approach, and commitment to professional education. In an industry facing rapid change and new challenges, she represents the next generation of brokers, and we look forward to seeing her continue to grow, innovate, and help lead both our business and the profession into a successful future.
